Getting a Titan Gem, Grim Ghostly staff (from the Fury) and a Primeval remenant all in the same run in GoA. We totally cleared The Foundry.

Here's a pic, for all you doubting Thomas's.

Two points:

1) The value of an entire character/account needs to be taken into account. My primary ranger is worth several million gold, including pets, exotic weapons, armor, cap sigs... but she has only about 50k in her pocket at the moment. In total, I calculate that my five main characters are worth about 5 million, and they have under 100k between them. I guess whether or not you think I'm wealthy depends on whether you value gold or "stuff".

2) How are people getting wealthy *today*? I've been playing for eight months now, and missed many fo the early opportunities to exploit Ettins and trade rollbacks; with about 1500 hours on my account, I think I'm doing very well.

At this point, getting rich in GW seems to be a matter of luck -- finding that one expensive item people will pay ridiculous prices for.

Farming right when 55 monk was released, i missed balths aura and zealots fire + symbol of wrath. That was when you could solo UW in like 20 minutes or less. Also griffon farming was fun too. Tengu rune farming was too fast to be fun but it worked as well.
Unfortunately I spent all my money making new characters, rushing them, getting forge and then deleting.

Here's a couple reasons why I'm NOT a millionaire:

1. My Warrior (so many damn skins...)
2 15K armors (I would make a new character and learn how to play them, just to get that certain armor)
3. Quickly selling before my party enters mission
4. Never around for any of those special market crashes

GW was my first game with a real "money" system, didn't know anything about saving up, keeping some safety cash, etc, so I just splurged by going to droks D1 and seeing what people were selling.

1) UW Duo Farm (all times classic )
2) Factions Release and Greens Farming

High demand for Factions greens made many players rich - u just had to solo a series of green bosses, collect the loot, sell, repeat...ty anet

the way i became rich was power selling or w/e u call it :P where u buy cheap, sell for atleast double as much. like when i bought an elemental sword for 75k, sold for 100+80e. I hate having to grind for money, so i always look for perfect oppotunities to exploit ppl as much as i can thats just me. been like that in every mmo i've played. i never have the mood or time or even the will to start grinding.

Bone Dragons, like all minipets, are random. They are NOT tied to the necro profession and any character has a chance to get one. That said, Bone Dragons are the rarest minipets, so I'm more inclined to disbelieve the story that his friend got 4 Bone Dragons on his 4 characters on the same day. That's like saying someone hit a casino jackpot, won another jackpot, won the lottery and then went home and won the Publisher's Clearing House sweepstakes all on the same day. Possible, but highly improbable.

Went from about 45k to over 1 million a little over a month.
Started at 45k in/around October and hit 1 million in November.
Right now I'm about 1.15 million.

Bought prophecies in August, Factions few weeks later and then nightfall, so only 6 months I've been playing.

#1 rule of money management, don't go out buying stuff you might want. The 2 biggest purchases I made were 50k for a perfect Req 9 Salient Sword and a Perfect Req 9 Zodiac Longbow (100k +15).
